Volunteer Opportunities
Thanks for your interest in volunteering for Idaho Golden Retriever Rescue. IDGRR has a unique foster to adopt model. We want to keep our Goldens out of stressful environments, therefore, all of our dogs go into foster homes before they are adopted. We have many needs that can help make this transition smoother for every Golden. Please let us know if you can help via our Contact Us form.
Home Visits
Before a Golden is placed, a volunteer visits the home of the prospective adopter to ensure the dog is going to a suitable home.
Fosters
Fosters are a vital part of our rescue program — we can never have too many homes. If you think you might be interested in fostering, we want to talk to you.
Adoption Fairs
In the Spring and Fall there are lots of activities we get invited to, so we're always looking for volunteers to meet and greet the public and tell them about Goldens.
Fundraising Activities
We have a fundraising committee that plans and schedules fundraising activities and needs hard-working volunteers to help.
Coordinators
We're growing and we need people with good organizational skills to help fill various roles. See our opportunities list below.
