About Hunter

🐾Introducing Hunter-a beautiful 1 year old Golden Retriever. Hunter is coming back to us through no fault of his own. His adopters experienced a death in the family and subsequent life changes. Hunter loves their 13 year old daughter and gets along great with their two older Golden’s. He loves his toys so much he tries to carry them ALL at once. He is very sweet and gentle, and typical to being a younger pup, he is very high energy. He does jump up on furniture/people, so will need training.

🐾If you are looking for the perfect youngster —Hunter is your guy! House trained, crate trained and good with dogs, kids (recommend 6+ due to his youth/strength) and cats, Hunter is the whole package. He’ll need to be neutered.

🐾Hunter is ultra trainable and obedient. He is very well behaved, especially once he gets his zoomies out. He loves to go on hikes and explore the outdoors and new areas. He loves people so much and he is such a happy go lucky guy.

🐾Hunter is the best dog anyone could ask for. His gentle sweet personality and his happiness makes him the loving dog he is. He’s down to do anything from chomping on a bone in the living room to hiking mountains and camping out. The best behaved and the most trainable dog you will ever meet. He will always greet you with a smile and his happy wiggles and gives you a nice leg rub as well( he thinks he’s a cat). He’s a big snuggler and loves to play fetch. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, stay, wait, load up, crate up, back, and gentle. He’s a one in a million dog who loves deeply and is extremely smart. He could have easily been a service dog had we put him in the training for it. Due to lack of time and a new born baby thrown into the mix along with unexpected financial strain, we have had to make this very difficult decision to find a new home for him that can give him the time, attention, and the proper care he more than deserves. He’s the bestest boy and we hope that the next person can love him as much as we love him.”

🐾 As always, preference given to existing applicants in the Boise area. IDGRR is not accepting new applications on Hunter.
