About Buck
🐾 Introducing 2 yo neutered Buck. Buck is a playful, loving dog who enjoys fetching a tennis ball any time of the day! He has been with his surrendering family since he was about 9 weeks old. He has lived with a now 7 year old labradoodle, a teen boy and his mom and dad. He does great with older kids but sees younger ones as equals and doesn't really have spacial awareness with them. He loves food and will attempt to share yours if you don't make sure he understands it isn't up for grabs-so he needs a puzzle bowl for his feeding because he tends to eat quickly and will attempt to eat other dog's food after he finishes his. Buck loves his fenced yard and he enjoys playing outdoors but has never had to stay outside alone. Because of their poor health, he has never learned to walk on a leash on a regular basis. He travels well in a car and can use the leash for potty stops.
🐾We believe leash training will be an easy thing for him. He is a house dog who is crate trained but doesn't require the crate when you leave. He will sleep in his crate but also enjoys sleeping on the bed with his people. He loves to learn new tricks and knows sit, leave it, roll over (only gets half way though), catches treats, fetches a ball. He will lay still and hang out with you if you are watching tv or he will run and play outside with you
🐾 We think he would love to learn to swim and hike but needs to have some training so he grasps all aspects of listening for his safety and better enjoyment of outdoor activities. He has been well loved all his days and we want only the best for this sweet guy. We’d like him to be with a family who can devote time to him and is active.
🐾Buck is 2 years young and learns quickly. He is the sweetest guy and gets so excited to do things and spend time with his people! He has potential to be a great outdoor companion with the right training.
🐾 Priority given to existing IDGRR approved applicants.
